Royal Adelaide Golf Club

Following extreme temperatures earlier in the week, guests at our first Lexus of Adelaide Golf Day for 2025 enjoyed perfect conditions for another fantastic day at the stunning Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
As always, the course was in immaculate condition and our 18-hole players were greeted with delicious coffee and breakfast before being taken through the plan for the day and making their way onto the course for a shotgun Ambrose start.

To ensure we cater for those who can play golf and those who want to learn, each Lexus of Adelaide Golf Day also includes beginner lessons. Guests are invited to learn from the expert Club professionals about the art of putting, chipping and driving, and have some fun along the way!

Congratulations to our putting and chipping winners and runners up.

Putting Runner Up - Christine Curry

Chipping Winner - Khiem Lam
Chipping Runner Up - Louise Wicks

Following the completion of either the 18-holes or beginner lessons, guests freshened up and joined us in the clubrooms for a drink and delicious lunch before finding out who the days winners were!
The third placed team of Shane Gill, Bernie Rowsell, Paul Brown and Connor Henry had a quick start to be three under par after four holes. Unfortunately, a bogey was recorded on the next hole, but a bounce back birdie would put that to rest quickly. The remaining twelve holes only yielded one birdie and that meant finishing third with nett 57.62.
The runners up were four under par after nine holes and all was looking promising, but they could only manage two under for the back nine and would have to settle for second with nett 57.37. Well played Gordon Muir, Elizabeth Mann, Jan Woods and Tonino Rapuano.
The winners had a great handicap combination for this type of event and went on to shoot the lowest score of the day with a 65, although there were no signs early on when they started with four pars. This all quickly changed when they had seven birdies on their next ten holes to rocket up the leader board. They even had the luxury of cruising home with four pars and still take out the win by more than two shots with nett 55. Congratulations Louise Pike (9), Cassie Manser (36), Victor Spruyt (17) and Barry Smith (18).

At every Lexus of Adelaide Golf Day we also give players the chance to win a Lexus LBX if they achieve a hole in one on our charity hole! Unfortunately, the LBX was not won but we are extremely proud to have raised $2,770 for the Variety Children’s Charity – thank you to all who donated!

Following the presentations, the room was abuzz with excitement to find out who the lucky winner was of a very special luxury escape thanks to Lexus Australia. Congratulations to Sam Paddick who was drawn as the winner!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another successful Lexus of Adelaide Golf Day at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did and we look forward to our next Golf Day in late 2025.
