Our Lexus Encore Members and Encore Platinum Members were invited to join us for a unique culinary event in the picturesque Adelaide Hills at the award winning Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard.

Upon arrival, guests were welcomed by Lexus of Adelaide General Manager, Wade Sander, along with General Manager of Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard, Amber Flavell, who provided everyone an overview of the fantastic day ahead of them.
Whilst enjoying the stunning setting of the surrounding vineyards during Autumn, guests were first taken through a RIEDEL Sensory Experience with Mark Balderstone from RIEDEL Australia.
This special sensory tasting experience provided guests with an understanding, through a selection of RIEDEL glasses, as to why the shape of a glass must be adapted to the characteristics of the wine to offer the best drinking experience.

Guests enjoyed sampling a stunning selection of Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard Premium wines, including their Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.
The comparisons between tasting these delicious wines from the different glasses was eye opening and everyone was amazed by how selecting the correct wine glass could make such a difference to how each wine smelt and tasted.
As the weather wasn’t suitable for the planned grape picking with the Vigneron, our guests enjoyed the Sensory Cheese and Fortified Wine Masterclass together.
Guests had the opportunity to taste the very best local and international cheeses that had been curated to perfection with fortified wines from Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard’s iconic cellar.

With one of South Australia’s most revered cheese experts, Valérie Henbes from Smelly Cheese Co, by our guest’s side, everyone learnt how fortified wine and cheese are enhanced when enjoyed together, whilst the nuances of each pairing reignited their five senses.
Following these two unique sensory experiences, guests were invited to enjoy pre-lunch canapes and sparkling wine on the Top Deck, whilst taking in the stunning views of the Mt Lofty Ranges and reflecting on their amazing morning.
Once guests made their way back inside to the restaurant, the exquisite lunch, a specially curated private five course degustation curated by Head Chef, Jesse White, was introduced.

This stunning culinary experience featured quality local and seasonal produce with expertly paired premium wines from Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard.
Each course was introduced by the Head Chef which provided an exclusive insight into the flavours and origins of the dishes presented and the wines selected.
As this incredible day drew to a close, our guests were presented with a special gift as a thank you for being a part of this stunning sensory experience.
