The Royal Adelaide Golf Club is one of the top 10 courses in Australia and it was once again the perfect setting for our second Lexus of Adelaide Golf Day for 2022.
A little rain didn’t deter our Encore members from enjoying a fantastic day on the course, although the strong breeze did challenge players as they made their way through the testing layout.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast and coffee, our guests were split into their teams and given a briefing for the day which would see them play in Ambrose style.
As our 18-hole players made their way around and enjoyed the fantastic condition of the Royal Adelaide’s course, those who may have not had as much experience joined us for beginner lessons with the Club’s Pros.
It was fantastic to see 38 guests join us for the beginner lessons as they learnt how to perfect their chipping and putting technique. Congratulations to our Beginner Lesson winners who took home a special prize each!

After all 18 holes were played, everyone was invited back to the club house to enjoy a drink, debrief and of course, a delicious lunch to celebrate the day that was and find out who the winners were.
The overall winners separated themselves from the field by just over 2.5 shots, but it was very different when it came to second and third place, with just 0.5 between them.
The third placed team of Jeff Perry, Ben Perry, Richard Stanes and Anthony Monteduro were off to a steady start with ten straight pars. That was followed by birdie, bogey, birdie before they settled in for pars to finish their round with nett 61.37.
Hole 14 Flightscope Smash Factor
Our runners up had a mixed round with a bogey on their very first hole. Thankfully they were one of the teams with a higher handicap and a run of eleven straight pars was good enough to put them on track for a prize with nett 60.87. Well played Conrad Peters, Paul Zollo, Margaret Bennett and Chris Reimer.

The winners were straight to the top of the leader board with four birdies in their first eight holes. However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for them with two bogeys on their last five holes. Thankfully, they had already done enough and would take out the win with nett 58. Congratulations to Roy Morando (27), Joe Mullen (21), Terry Goodwin (25) and Colin Johns (23).
Our charity ‘hole in one hole’ once again proved challenging for everyone and the Lexus UX was not given away, but thank you to everyone who generously donated and helped us to raise $1,430 for the Make-a-Wish-Foundation.

As the day drew to a close, everyone was eagerly anticipating who would be drawn as the winner of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Experience! Congratulations to Rong Li who was drawn as this year’s winner – she and a guest are invited as special guests of Lexus Australia to enjoy a round at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club and enjoy the incredible hospitality in the luxurious Lexus LANDMARK at Flemington for the running of the Melbourne Cup.
