Lexus of AdelaideGolf Day

Our second Lexus of Adelaide Golf Day for 2023 was held in October and the conditions were optimal for another fantastic day at the beautiful Royal Adelaide Golf Club. The course was once again in perfect condition and in the end, one team would take the victory by almost two shots.

It was a cloudy start to the day and teams were fuelled with their morning coffee and breakfast before tee off for a shotgun ambrose start.
Mid morning, our beginner lesson participants arrived and were guided through golf lessons with the local golf professionals. It was great to see 26 of our guests take part and learn more about the art of chipping and putting. Congratulations to our winners and runners up!

After the lessons and 18-holes were completed, guests joined us in the club rooms for a delicious lunch and of course, to find out who the days winners were.

The third placed team of Ian Sharp, David Galloway, Ben Sapwell and David Hitchcock were off to a good start to be two under par through twelve holes, but three late birdies would push them up the leaderboard to finish with nett 60.75.
The runners up were steady all day and managed to play the course without a bogey. This was even more impressive with the knowledge that they were the only 3-ball team in the field. Five straight pars to finish stopped them from taking out the win when they finished with nett 59.33. Well played, Ian Henderson, Chris Wright and Nina Wright.

The winners were the lowest handicapped team on the day and needed a fantastic score to take out the event. After some great golf, they were five under par with three holes to go, still requiring a strong finish to separate themselves from the field. The strong finish occurred with three straight birdies to sign for nett 57.5. Congratulations Steve Jacquier (11), Matt Jacquier (5), Antonio Demasi (18) and James Demasi (18).
For this Golf Day, we were proud to be raising funds for Variety Children’s Charity on the hole-in-one hole. Unfortunately the Lexus UX wasn’t won and at lunch, it was revealed that $1,865 was raised for the Variety Children's Charity! Thank you to everyone who generously donated.
Hole 14 Flightscope Smash Factor
The opportunity to go to the Lexus Melbourne Cup and play The Royal Melbourne Golf Club was drawn at the end of the lunch - anticipation in the room was high! Congratulations to William Matthews, who was our lucky winner and will now attend the stunning LANDMARK by Lexus for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
